Duties : Set up patients for polysomnographic recordings (overnight sleep studies, nap & alertness tests)Monitor patients undergoing testing to ensure patient safety and maintain high quality recordingsConduct CPAP / Bi-Level titrations for patients with sleep-related breathing disordersAnalyze recordings and prepare reports for sleep laboratory physiciansMaintain required documentation on the electronic health record (EHR)Assist in administrative functions of the laboratoryWork in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient / client safety practices, policies and procedures of The RoyalEnsure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free policy.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications : Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with one of the following : B.Sc. / B.A. in Life SciencesRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT)Registered Nurse (RN)Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)Demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills in a multi-tasking high-volume environmentDemonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team in a highly organized mannerKnowledge of infection control standardsDemonstrate ability to multi-task and respond to rapidly changing situationsCPR Certification Level B within the last 12 monthsWHMIS update within the last 12 monthsEnglish level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.
