Our client, a leading Canadian financial solutions provider, is seeking to hire an Identity and Access Management Engineer on a contract basis, with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent full-time role. Your New Role :

You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of identity and access management solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's information systems. You will work closely with IT, security, and business teams to ensure that the right individuals have access to the right resources at the right times for the right reasons.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, deploy, and manage IAM systems and services, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), user automated lifecycle management, and identity governance.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to understand their access requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Integrate PAM solutions with other security systems such as SIEM, multi-factor authentication, and identity management platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related incidents and enhance system performance.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members and act as an IAM subject matter expert within the organization.
  • Stay current with emerging IAM technologies and trends to improve security posture and operational efficiency.
  • Work with vendors and external partners to integrate third-party systems with the organization’s IAM framework.
  • Document IAM processes and maintain detailed records of system configurations and changes.

Key Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in an IAM role with a strong understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience with IAM tools and platforms such as Okta, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, Microsoft On-prem and Azure Active Directory, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in authentication protocols such as SAML, OIDC, Oauth, Web Authn.
  • Knowledge of directory services, LDAP, Active Directory, and other identity repositories.
  • Experience with scripting and automation to streamline IAM processes.
  • Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Be available to work on-call duties and provide out-of-hours support as needed.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who is eager to grow within our organization.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience.
