Job Description

The inventory analyst manages inventory items, controls day-to-day inventory operations, and implements inventory control protocols. To be successful, the inventory analyst must have a strong attention to detail and possess acute commercial awareness. The inventory analyst interprets and implements data on consumer trends and spending.

Role And Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics.
• Perform extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports such as Excess & Obsolete Report and take action to improve the numbers.
• Direct buyers and stockroom workers.
• Perform regular inventory counts.
• Draft inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data.
• Report inventory statistics to management and suggest improvements to inventory control.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue.
• Create and maintain inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.
• Create all long lead time items in ERP system as soon as the part list of new projects has been provided.
• Supplement BOM in ERP by adding additional information in parts such as part category, warehouse, manufacturer name & number etc.
• Validate BOM (per unit qty) during the new product introduction stage of a new project to ensure that the qty of PUR parts is correct in ERP system.
• Support Product Line Manager, Supply chain team, and sales on the management of PUR parts.
• All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma/certificate required.
• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar field.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Familiarity with mechanical assemblies and electrical assemblies.
• Experience with LN is an asset.
• Master the French and English language (clients, colleague from the United States).
