Role Description

Directly under the COO, this is a full-time hybrid role for a National Account Manager @ Gould Industries ltee located in Montreal, Quebec or Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some remote work. The US National Account Manager will be responsible for managing national customer accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, conducting market research, fostering strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Sales Strategy Development, Market Research, and Client Relationship Management skills
  • Experience in managing national customer accounts and achieving sales targets
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience (sales, account management, trade funding, category management)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data sources like Nielsen, IRI, and sales data.
  • Proficiency in Google Drive
  • Ability to be present in the market.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Build Strong Relationships : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Drive Strategic Growth : Develop and execute winning strategies for promotion, distribution, and shelf management that align with customer needs and Gould Industries' brand strategies.
  • Own the Business : Take ownership of Trade Planner and Ave for assigned customer accounts.
  • Leverage Sales Processes : Utilize established Gould Industries sales processes to effectively engage customers, understand their needs, and present compelling solutions.
  • Secure Distribution and Merchandising : Achieve new product acceptance and optimal merchandising levels in line with sales goals.
  • Collaborate Internally : Partner with internal teams (e.g., supply chain, category management) to drive initiatives and ensure alignment.
  • Deliver Results : Achieve annual sales targets through effective trade strategy execution and accurate planning.
  • Develop Winning Promotions : Collaborate with internal teams to create impactful promotional offers that reflect national trade strategies and optimize resources.
  • Analyze and Optimize : Analyze promotional effectiveness to ensure positive return on investment and profitability.
  • Leverage Data and Insights : Utilize regional / national resources and data sources (Nielsen, IRI, etc.) to develop compelling category management selling stories.
  • Embrace Problem-Solving : Utilize problem-solving tools and methodologies to address challenges and identify opportunities.
