Location : Radiant Care Tabor / Pleasant Manor
Position : Administrator Long‑Term Care
Contract : Temporary Full‑Time (Maternity Leave, 14‑month term)
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Administrator Long‑Term Care, the Administrator is responsible for administering Long‑Term Care activities within designated divisional departments and operates from the Tabor Manor Long‑Term Care Home.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education : Post‑secondary degree of at least three years, or a post‑secondary diploma in health or social services of at least two years. Must have completed a Long‑Term Care Home administration or management course of at least 100 instructional hours.
- Experience : Minimum three years in a managerial or supervisory role in health or social services, or in another managerial capacity with the required course completion under Ontario Regulation 246 / 22.
- Interpersonal Skills : Ability to identify and respond to complex needs, provide expert advice, and resolve issues with emotionally troubled, angry or upset individuals.
- Problem Solving, Judgement and Decision Making : Capable of handling complex, unique situations; interpreting and analysing relevant guidelines, factors and precedents.
- Authority and Responsibility : Errors in decisions or actions can have moderate impact; work is independent. Ensures accuracy and proper information flow. Orders inventory and manages supply decisions. Oversees subordinates’ hiring, discipline, performance and training. Has significant direct or indirect impact on user groups’ safety and well‑being. Contributes to budget preparation and funding discussions.
- Other : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); current Vulnerable Position / Sector Screening within six months; legally entitled to work in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Guardian of the Culture : Guards the culture of the Long‑Term Care Homes and embodies Radiant Care’s vision, mission and core values.Business and Strategy Success : Oversees departmental areas (Nursing, Therapeutic Recreation, Nutrition Management, Scheduling); translates divisional strategy to actionable goals; collaborates with Senior Administrator and Long‑Term Care management to implement operational infrastructure; leads Return‑to‑Work initiatives; participates in recruitment of registered employees with Directors of Care.Accountability, Performance and Quality : Provides timely, accurate reports on operating condition and ensures compliance with policies; works independently to exceed expectations; leads departments to accreditation and sustainability; achieves financial benchmarks.Customer Service and Development : Builds trust relationships with key customers and stakeholders (employees, residents, families, volunteers, academic partners); coaches teams across locations to meet business metrics.Other : Promotes the Montessori Philosophy of Care; understands and adheres to the Collective Agreement; completes mandatory training; performs other duties assigned by Divisional Lead; travels between multiple sites.Benefits
