Our client in Ancaster, ON is looking for a Director of Information Technology to join their team!
Role :
Our hospitality client is seeking a talented and passionate Director, IT to lead and manage their IT department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, a passion for service, and the ability to handle the challenges of a 24 / 7 hospitality business.
This role involves executing system strategies, maintaining all computer systems and communications activities, and forecasting technology requirements to improve system effectiveness.
This role is critical in driving the organization’s technological advancement and ensuring the efficient operation of all IT systems and processes.
Work Type :
- Fully Onsite 5 days a week in office
- Location : Ancaster, ON
- 9am 5pm, Mon-Fri some weekend / off hours work may be required

As the Director of Information Technology, you will :
- Oversee daily IT operations and maintain professional relationships across all departments and locations
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives
- Lead, mentor and grow the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Participate in regional systems meetings to share best practices
- Provide high-level support to admin users as per Service Level Agreements
- Ensure critical systems (PMS, POS, etc.) are operational 24 / 7
- Ensure the reliability and performance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers
- Lead coordination of new system acquisitions and major projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
- Establish product lifecycle management and 10-year capital planning for technology
- Prepare and manage IT operating and capital budgets
- Liaise and negotiate with vendors and service providers to procure IT products and services
What you will bring :
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support and management
- Proven experience in an IT leadership role, with a strong track record of managing complex IT environments
- A strong leader who can drive change and unite a team
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision-making
- Experience in the hospitality industry would be considered an asset
Preferred Technical Skills
- Experience managing and administering Active Directory, Windows Server, and VMware
- Knowledge of network protocols and security controls
- Familiarity with managing Windows Server, O365, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Experience with wireless and wired LAN technologies, Firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, VoIP and telephony
- Familiarity with ITIL and other IT service management frameworks
- Certification in relevant IT disciplines (e.g., CISSP, PMP)
- Knowledge of PCI compliance
Compensation :
- Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
