Job description

Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1,400 employees nationwide, is an essential link in the Canadian healthcare supply chain, providing over 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country.

As the Senior Manager, Product and Solutions Marketing at Cardinal Health, you will oversee the go‑to‑market execution, portfolio strategy, competitive positioning, sales enablement and commercial success of our Cardinal brand portfolio. In this role, you will translate global / national strategies into high impact, regionally relevant initiatives that accelerate growth, strengthen our competitive edge, and advance Cardinal Health’s presence across the Canadian healthcare system. You will oversee the development of integrated go to market plans, guide cross-functional alignment, and elevate the value of our solutions through differentiated messaging, market insights, and a thoughtful approach to tender strategy for key Cardinal Health brand portfolios. This role reports to the Senior Director, Marketing. This is a hybrid position reporting twice a week at our Vaughan, Ontario office.

As a strategic leader within the Marketing team, you will be accountable for portfolio performance, driving adoption, utilization, and revenue through targeted campaigns, sales enablement programs, and customer engagement initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in medical devices, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to influence and collaborate cross functionally. The ideal candidate will have a forward-thinking mindset, a strong grasp of market dynamics, and a passion for advancing innovations that improve patient outcomes and strengthen healthcare delivery in Canada.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

  • Team leadership and talent development - Lead the downstream marketing strategy and long‑term portfolio direction to achieve business growth and profitability while supporting professional development of your team.

  • Lead, coach, and inspire cross‑functional teams, promoting collaboration, informed risk‑taking, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee full product lifecycle management—from innovation and planning through launch, optimization, and end of lifecycle.

  • Apply advanced marketing and product management expertise to build PMM playbooks, processes, business and product plans templates, and operating mechanisms for repeatable excellence.

  • Sales enablement and commercial execution – partner with sales leaders to improve adoption, market penetration, utilization and win rates.

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Establish continuous monitoring of competitive activities, pricing, regulatory changes, and technology advancements. Translate customer insights and market data into clear, value propositions, and channel strategies.

  • Lead integrated go‑to‑market execution, ensuring successful launches, transitions, and discontinuations.

  • Collaborate on the development of compelling marketing plans, enablement tools, and campaigns to accelerate product adoption and utilization.

  • Partner with global/upstream marketing, communications, and commercial teams to ensure aligned messaging and execution.

  • Oversee portfolio Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) RFPs and tender submissions, collaborating cross-functionally to shape winning proposals.

  • Track KPIs and deliver strategic insights and performance reporting to senior leadership.

  • Engage with Key Opinion leaders and drive education initiatives to strengthen clinical credibility and market influence.

  • Partner and collaborate effectively with all cross-functional business partners (Global Marketing, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory, legal, finance, and commercial sales) to ensure readiness, compliance, and availability.

  • Serve as the product and procedural expert for assigned lines, elevating internal knowledge and capability.

  • Drive initiatives that expand Cardinal‑branded product penetration and market share.

This Job might be for you if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field; MBA preferred.

  • 8–12 years of experience in product marketing, along with a minimum of 5 years of people‑leadership experience, preferably within the healthcare or medical device sector.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with knowledge of the healthcare market and product distribution industry.

  • Proven capability to prioritize essential deliverables and organize team workload for optimal performance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; stakeholder management skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a consistent focus on coaching and developing others.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative team environment and effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing complex multi‑SKU portfolios, delivering revenue growth, and overseeing team contributions to GPO RFPs and tender submissions.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data‑driven decision‑making.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, and various Marketing automation and enablement tools.

  • Bilingualism in French and English, is an asset.

Anticipated pay range: $101,000 - $151,000

Bonus: Yes

This role is eligible for a performance-based annual bonus. Bonus awards are not guaranteed and are determined based on individual performance, company performance, and other business factors, in accordance with the company’s bonus plan.
