Project Manager
The Project Manager will maintain established relationships with architectural and engineering consultants and work closely with clients and client representatives in all aspects of the project stages.
This includes preparing progress reports, construction schedules and milestones and monitoring progress against established schedules.
The Project Manager may, from time to time, work in collaboration with the Estimator for the timely and accurate completion of tenders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, advanced computer skills and the ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
Proven written and verbal command of the English language is a requirement for this position. Some construction industry experience is required.
Qualifications :
- Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree.
- 7-10 years of construction experience with a focus in estimating civil, commercial, and industrial sectors of the industry
- General construction knowledge; understands specifications, schedules, methods and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity take off procedures, sub-trade procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures
- Understands current market conditions and competitive advantages that can be leveraged
- Ability to identify risk associated with contract / project documents
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Experience in estimating for lump sum, design build and construction management tenders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, estimating software, and scheduling software
