Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Performing regular maintenance and inspections on a variety of transport equipment
  • Keeping detailed records of repairs and parts replacements
  • Mentoring apprentices and sharing your expertise
  • Following all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Qualifications

  • A strong background in repairing major brands of domestic tractors & trailers is a must
  • Journeyman trade certificate (Red Seal preferred) will consider 4th-year apprentices with the right experience
  • Additional Skills :

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Vehicle Inspection license
  • Familiarity with manufacturer diagnostic software
  • Experience with Schuerle InterCombi / K25 trailers and SPMT is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, safety-focused, highly motivated
