Job description

As the successful candidate, you will :

  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Rail Systems which covers : advanced train control systems, application software and simulation, traction power, communications (Radio, Fiber optics, CCTV, Intercom, Public Announcement), SCADA, signalling systems, crossing warning systems, electrical, and testing and commissioning;
  • Assist with technical design reviews and calculations checks;
  • Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables;
  • Assist in the design of various deliverable types for rail systems;
  • Assist senior engineers and designers as and when needed;
  • Contribute to overall needs for project completion;
  • Improve technical communication and report writing skills.

You bring to the role :

  • Graduate with an Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent) degree from an accredited University;
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role is an asset;
  • Interested in rail systems as a career;
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation;
  • Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge or experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects, will be an asset;
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction;
