Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of the pharmacy and its budget, including its sales, expenses and inventory. Oversee and monitor inventory levels, as well as the planograms, pricing and promotional merchandise within the pharmacy. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities for improvement, and report on target metrics. Maintain awareness of current local competitive activity and identify potential business development opportunities.
- Responsible for dispensing, counselling and all other related practices of pharmaceutical care including administering injections.
- Assist in developing and co-ordinating patient care functions, such as medication reviews and patient care-oriented activities.
- Interact with other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Dispense prescriptions in accordance with all professional and legal standards.
- Abide by all regulations and policies in control, safekeeping and sale of drugs, including return and / or disposal of outdated stock.
- To assist with checking and adjusting customer complaints within the established polices of the Pioneer Co-op.
- To be aware of and informed about Pioneer Co-op contracts, policies, procedures and practices.
- To be familiar with and assist with current merchandising and signing policies, procedures and practises.
- To provide prompt, courteous, friendly and caring service to customers in order to promote good member / customer relations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that comply with federal and provincial legislation, regulations, bylaws and accrediting body standards.
- Establish and maintain quality management policies and procedures that include a process for reporting, documenting and following up on known, alleged, and suspected errors, incidents, and discrepancies.
- Oversee staff recruitment, development, scheduling and performance management.
- Oversee Southside Pharmacy in conjunction with the Southside Pharmacist Manager.
To perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy Or PharmD with license to practise in Saskatchewan. Successful candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position : therefore, is subject to Pioneer Co-op’s Alcohol & Substance policy as a condition of employment. Must be willing to cover all shifts.
