DevOps Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer  for a permanent role with a client of ours located in Vancouver. Hybrid position for local candidates only.

Responsibilities :

Build, deploy, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform

Develop Infrastructure as Code for repeatable and scalable infrastructure using industry standards like Terraform

Design and Implement CI / CD Pipelines using Atlassian Bamboo and ArgoCD for both infrastructure and product deployment

Automate processes and deployments of applications and infrastructure using Kubernetes and containerization

Implement monitoring, management processes, and disaster recovery for operations to provide high availability and ensure scalability

Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, safeguarding sensitive data and intellectual property

Requirements :

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science or the equivalent work experience

Strong knowledge of CI / CD and DevOps principles

Experience managing, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Azure ARM / Bicep or AWS CloudFormation experience a plus

2+ years experience with containerization and deployment using Kubernetes and Docker

2+ years experience building CI / CD pipelines using any industry standard toolchain

Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana for observability and monitoring

Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Linux Bash, PowerShell and Python

Knowledge of Cybersecurity industry standards such as NIST or CIS

Relevant certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Nice to have past development experience using C++, C#, Python or JavaScript

Knowledge of Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, and JFrog Artifactory are a plus
