Electrical Technician

Job Description

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, as part of the Operations Team, your role will be to manufacture electromechanical & electronic components and conduct quality assurance tasks.

You will join a highly technical group that will mentor you to grow your abilities to manufacture and test multiple automation components.

More specifically :

• Perform the assembly, software installation and testing of Vention automation components : MachineMotion Controller, Module, Sensors, and Motors.
• Replenish parts in production line and coordinate missing parts with procurement.
• Build harnesses and cable assemblies following schematics as per IPC / WHMA-A-620.
• Perform assembly and reworks of printed circuit boards as per IPC / WHMA-A-610.
• Contribute to the improvement of the automation components and documentation by improving cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Ensure that the manufacturing area is well organized and effective. Provide ideas and suggestions to increase efficiency and improve practices.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure fulfillment success.

Qualifications

• Electronic Technician Diploma or Certificate of vocational studies in electronics
• Minimum 1 years’ experience electrical assembly and wiring sub-systems in a production environment
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings and production documents
• Experience of soldering methods for wiring and printed circuit boards.
• Knowledge of Harness assembly as per IPC / WHMA-A-620 and electronics circuit board assembly as per IPC / WHMA-A-610 is an asset.
• Experience in Quality Assurance is an asset
