Qualifications
Master's Degree in a Health-Related Discipline with training in the controlled act of Psychotherapy (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing).
Must be registered and in good standing with a Health Regulatory College, allowing for the performing of Psychotherapy as defined under the act.
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience working in a mental health setting, is required.
Excellent clinical assessment, formulation and treatment planning skills is essential.
Significant experience delivering full model DBT is strongly preferred.
At minimum, some training and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and willingness to adopt and integrate full model DBT into the LIT milieu and daily clinical practice will be required.
Experience with providing a broad range of clinical services and demonstrated effective work with a child and adolescent population who present a variety of clinically challenging issues.
Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, and advanced group skills with youth and parents are preferred.
Leadership experience, including providing clinical leadership on an interdisciplinary team is a strong asset.
Computer competency is required for this position.
Experience working with diverse cultures is considered an asset for this position.
Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.
