Job description
The HSE Specialist provides technical expertise in all areas of health, safety and environment. Responsible for the development, promotion, implementation and evaluation of our Integrated Management System (which covers the HSE Safran Standards thus meeting the requirements outlined in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and AS9100).

Keen attention to detail
Education and / or Certifications : Post Secondary School Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Engineering / Environmental Sciences or related field.
Professional certification preferred (CRSP, CSP, CPE) or eligibility for certification and evidence of significant progress towards completion.
Work Experience : 5-8 years HSE experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment, Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) experience. Knowledge of federal, provincial & local HSE regulations & experience in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100
Specialized Knowledge :
Strong and demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable codes, standards, guidelines and all relevant government legislation related to HSE
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products (outlook, word, excel & powerpoint)
Strong influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and motivate others to make changes within a manufacturing environment and work with all levels of the organization
Communication Skills
Internal : Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required, ability to draft & develop effective memos and presentations
External : Ability to liaise with external service providers
