Plains is currently seeking a detail oriented and highly motivated individual to join our ETRM Controls team. The successful candidate will exhibit a high level of professionalism while applying their knowledge of the business.
Responsibilities :
Maintain contracts in our ETRM system (Right Angle) for all commodity and trade types, determine signing authority, match to 3rd party / broker papers, and general inquiries.
Understand how to capture complex trader requests within the limitations of the system.
Liaise between multiple departments to resolve process amendments such as invoicing, position management, pricing, contract entry, and contracts and compliance.
Perform various data quality checks as required at the start and end of day.
Improve processes and updates in procedure manuals.
Metrics and Reporting : Resolve Control Issues / contract discrepancies and generate weekly summary to Management, and reporting monthly contract KPI metrics
Problem solving in support of traders, marketers, and other teams.
Qualifications :
University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field will be considered an asset.
Prior Experience in a Confirmation & Compliance group, and knowledge with Right Angle or other similar ETRM systems, is preferred.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
Highly motivated with strong financial, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Goal oriented and able to contribute as a team player.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proven flexibility, the ability to adapt to changing business conditions, and ability to self-teach.
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
