Position Overview:

The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and development programs that support Amico’s continuous growth and commitment to excellence. This role plays a key part in building employee capability, enhancing performance, and supporting career development across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess organizational learning needs and develop targeted training programs to address skill gaps.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate in-house learning initiatives, workshops, and onboarding programs.
• Collaborate with department leaders to align learning programs with business objectives and operational priorities.
• Manage external training vendors and oversee the coordination of third-party learning programs.
• Develop digital learning materials and maintain learning content on internal platforms or LMS systems.
• Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory training requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within Amico Affiliates.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• CHRP/CHRL designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
