Automotive Service Apprentice (AutoPlanet Brampton)

Here’s what you’ll deliver :

• Assist the Service Technician with performing service to engine systems such as diagnosing, troubleshooting, verifying and repairing cooling systems, cylinder heads, engine block assemblies and components.
• Provide support in diagnosing, troubleshooting, servicing electrical and engine management systems such as boosting / charging batteries, and repairing starting and charging systems and components.
• Provide support with fuel delivery and transmission systems such as inspecting, diagnosing and repairing gasoline fuel systems, clutch systems, manual and automatic transmissions or transaxles, computer-controlled systems and components.
• Support with inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing drive shafts, differentials and drive axle assemblies, suspension systems and frames, steering and braking systems, tires, wheels, rims and hubs.
• Assist with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, vehicle body and trim and exhaust, intake and emission control systems.
• Acquire an understanding of all current and emerging technologies as they apply to automobile service.
• Ensure that customer cars are kept as clean or cleaner than when they arrived, both inside and out.
• Prioritize maintaining the cleanliness of the shop area at all times.
• Clean bay and bench at the end of each shift.
• Dispose of garbage, recycling, etc., as required.
• Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times.
• Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures.
• Other duties as required by management.
