Project Manager

Our client is searching for a Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate has construction project management experience working with a General Contractor and is process driven, with excellent communication

skills.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

Review scope of work reading and understanding bid documents, specifications and drawings
Participate in creation and review of project proposals, drawings, RFI’s and contracts
Assess and develop relationships with vendors and subcontractors
Create Project Plans
Estimate internal resources and determine budgets (installation cost, schedule, etc.)
Create and manage customer and vendor schedules
Value engineer, identify risks and perform risk analysis
Facilitate and coordinate delivery of products from vendors to the site
Schedule and manage installation crews ensuring work meets the client’s standards of excellence
Focus on quality, schedule, budget, communication, and change management
Track and manage progress on site
Consistent internal and external communication
Documentation and management of change orders
Creation and adherence of deficiency identification, correction and communication plans
Creation and management of Schedule of Values ensuring prompt invoicing
Delivery of closeout documents as identified in the project plan

Your strengths include :

2+ years of Project Management Experience

Understanding of basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing principles

Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings and specifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is an asset

Degree or Diploma in Architectural or Mechanical, Civil Engineering Technology or a similar field

Ability to work well under pressure

Proven Excel skills for data collection and analysis

Ability to problem solve, using critical thinking skills

Excellent communication skills
