Petrogas - Truck Drivers (Slave Lake, Sundre, or Fort Saskatchewan)
Petrogas, a subsidiary of AltaGas, is seeking Truck Drivers for our Slave Lake, Sundre and Fort Saskatchewan based teams.

As a Truck Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting our field operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transport and handling of fluids and materials. This position requires strict adherence to NSC and TDG regulations, AltaGas safety protocols, and a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.
Our company Drivers work a 10-day on, 4-day off schedule.
Responsibilities :
Conduct pre-trip inspections and hazard assessments before each job.
Operate vacuum units and associated equipment in compliance with AltaGas safety standards.
Transport and dispose of fluid and solid waste materials per TDG regulations.
Ensure proper load securement and safe handling of all transported materials.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including electronic logbooks and safety reports.
Lead and mentor Swampers, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment issues promptly.
Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Qualifications
1–3 years of relevant experience in truck driving operations, specifically in the energy sector.
Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
Clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions or convictions in the past 3 years.
Ability to pass background checks and drug & alcohol screening.
Valid safety certifications, including :
Standard First Aid
H2S Alive
Confined Space Entry / Monitor
Gas Detection (asset)
Strong understanding of oil and gas field operations.
Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment & Physical Demands :
Exposure to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks.
Field-based role requiring travel within the designated area.
Use of PPE, including steel-toed boots, coveralls, safety glasses, hard hats, and hearing protection.
Ability to lift heavy items and work in confined spaces or at heights.
Full-time hourly position with variable shifts based on operational needs.
On-call availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
