Hays has partnered with a local small – mid-size who is looking for either a junior or intermediate Architectural Technologist to join their unique team. With over 20 years in the industry, specializing in a diverse range of projects, including Healthcare, Institutional,mercial, and public projects (CBE and Prisons). Your new role
In this role, you will coordinate design and technical information with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. You’ll collaborate closely with the design team to develop detailed design concepts and translate them into clear, concise Design and Construction Documents. Your responsibilities will include reviewing building products, conducting building code analyses, and integrating this information into technical documentation. You’ll produce detailed drawings that meet industry standards and code requirements, while working directly with colleagues and external consultants to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated project documents.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have 1 to 5 years of professional experience, ideally within Alberta, and hold an Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent. You bring hands-on experience with small- and large-scale healthcare, institutional, and public sector projects, and demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). You’re a strongmunicator and verbal, and thrive in fast-paced environments where meeting strict deadlines is key. You’re eager to grow, open to learning new areas of the industry, and ready to contribute from day one. Above all, you’re a collaborative team player who embraces challenges and ismitted to delivering high-quality work.
What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will receive apetitive base salary of $50,000-70,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus, health spending accounts, 2 weeks starting vacation and gas or milage coverage
