Heavy Duty Parts Manager - $85,000 + Bonuses - Winnipeg, MB

Are you a seasoned Parts Technician or experienced professional in the dealership or trucking industry?

If so, we’d love to hear from you! My client, an award-winning dealership and leader in the heavy-duty and medium-duty truck industry is seeking a Heavy Duty Parts Manager.

In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the daily operations of the Parts Department, mentor a diverse team, manage inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service, all while driving the business toward success.

Permanent Position

Salary : $85,000 per year + performance bonuses

Schedule : Day time Monday to Friday, on-site

Location : Winnipeg, MB

Experience Required : Minimum 5 years as a Parts Technician or similar role, with 3+ years of leadership experience

Extras : Certified Journeyperson Parts Technician is an asset; strong knowledge of CDK Drive is required

Responsibilities

As a Parts Manager, a normal day would include :

Leadership & Team Management :

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing team, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Set clear job expectations, conduct regular team huddles, and address trends affecting morale, productivity, and performance.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic goals and budgets for the Parts Department in partnership with leadership.
  • Monitor departmental performance, analyze trends, and implement strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory, ensure warranty claims are processed efficiently, and uphold operational excellence.
  • Drive parts sales by monitoring market conditions and developing targeted strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and collaborate with vendor representatives to optimize resources.
  • Qualifications

    What do you need for this position?

  • Certified Journeyperson Parts Technician is considered an asset
  • 3+ years experience successfully leading diverse teams of 5+ people.
  • Strong working knowledge of CDK Drive is a requirement.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Parts Technician or comparable position in the dealership / trucking industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses analytical skills to evaluate data, make operational decisions and solve difficult problems with effective solutions using logic and methods.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to multi-task and maintain a strong customer service focus and attention to detail, with Excellent customer service skills.
