The HCLS practice is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that empower clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors to enhance quality and service s across organization s , which collective ly focuses on creating a more supportive and effective healthcare environment that ultimately aims at improving patient and family care , leading to better health outcomes .

Our HCLS practice is looking for Senior Consultants to join our GTA team to support multiple propositions including operations improvement, care system re-design, digital health and workforce development working directly with senior leadership and clients across the Healthcare and Life Sciences industry. What you will do

Support clients realize and achieve operational excellence through the redesign of clinical service delivery models through potential initiatives like :

  • Cost-Optimization / Cost Take-Out
  • Clinical operational service delivery reviews and redesign
  • Digital health technology strategy and implementations
  • Health services and systems planning
  • Workforce optimization
  • Clinical p rogram r eviews , process redesign, and assessment across the care continuum
  • Working with senior KPMG leaders to enhance and working cross-functionally with in the Management Consulting practice to integrate the full health and life-sciences service offerings

  • Operational Excellence
  • Digital Health
  • Health System Redesign (large scale transformation like policy, shared services, organizational redesign / restructuring, etc.)
  • Workforce
  • Advanced Analytics
  • Grow the HCLS practice through business development, recruitment, Thought Leadership papers and coaching and mentorship

    Drive business development through various activities including proposals, network events and other key activities.

    What you bring to the role

  • 3 -5 years of professional experience in healthcare and life sciences operational excellence, digital health, management consulting, strategy or policy development. Traditionally Senior Consultants must have at least 2 years of relevant experience within the healthcare space working with senior leaders.
  • Strong Project and Program management experience to support results , with demonstrated experience planning and track ing complex projects .
  • E xperience with data analytics , working with large data sets , and making data-driven analytical decisions to support all deliverables associated with operational excellence and process redesign .
  • E xperience with operations improvement including strong clinical workflows and operational processes across the care continuum.
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort working with executive healthcare leaders including C -suite
  • E xperience leading and managing teams including training, coaching and mentoring to build internal capabilities .
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills to communicate with client stakeholders, work closely in a collaborative team environment and lead teams and project deliverables
  • Desired Traits

  • Healthcare operations experience in relevant roles like hospital administration, clinical program management, policy development, regional health system leader and / or clinical experience is considered a strong asset and / or preferred.
  • Healthcare and clinical experience considered a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare system in Canada including healthcare policies, healthcare system funding models, health system redesign and service delivery models and trends is preferred .
  • Interest and / or experience with technologies applicable to healthcare and life sciences .
  • LEAN and other Process Redesign experience supported by current and relevant experience leading process redesign engagements is an asset .
  • Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset .
  • Successful applicants will be i nvited to attend a session on Monday March 17 th , 2025 , starting at 4 : 00pm that will comprise of a presentation on the Healthcare and Life Sciences ( HCLS Practice, networking session, and round 1 interview time slot.

    Senior Consultants usually join Management Consulting with significant work experience, coming from an MBA, PhD, MD, JD or other advanced degree program . Senior Consultant are expected to be able to come into the Management Consulting team and immediately make a significant impact.
