AG Sales Representative

Battle River Implements Ltd. is a progressive John Deere dealership in East Central Alberta. We sell and service large agricultural, lawn and garden, and several supporting lines of equipment.

We are currently seeking an individual interested in an Agricultural Sales Representative position for our Wainwright  location. If you are an energetic, self-motivated team player, this could be a career opportunity for you.

Responsibilities :

o   Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers within a defined sales territory

o   Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment the dealership sells

o   Completes all sales documentation in a timely and accurate manner

o   Maintains all customer information in assigned territory as outlined by Area Sales Manager

o   Understand and follow entire sales process from start to finish, including following up with customers to ensure highest level of customer service is being provided

o   Participate in new equipment field demonstrations as required

o   Keeps current with customer’s business activities and needs communications to management in a timely manner

o   Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods

o   Assist with special projects and attend training seminars as requested by supervisor

o   Keep current on product knowledge and equipment values

o   Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

o   Other duties assigned by Management or directly related to customer service

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge :

o   1+  years equipment sales experience is preferred but not required

o   Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming operational practices preferred

o   Computer knowledge and understanding of basic PC functions (Microsoft, Internet)

o   Ability to work flexible hours

o   Excellent written and oral communication skills

o   Ability to create strong working relationships with customers and co-workers

o   Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports

o   High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

o   Valid Class 5 Drivers License
