Job description

Job Opportunity : Fabrication Shop Worker

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Fabrication Shop Worker to join our client's fast-paced construction supplies warehouse in Edmonton. In this role, you will assist with material fabrication, utilizing hand and power tools to cut and measure materials. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with imperial measurements, have basic math and geometry skills, and be prepared for a work environment that can be a bit dusty and messy.

Shift : 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm

Salary : $20 - $21 / hour

Location : Edmonton

Note : Not transit accessible

Responsibilities

Assist in the fabrication of materials based on provided instructions.

Safely operate hand and power tools (training will be provided).

Measure and cut materials using imperial measurements (8ths, 16ths, 32nds).

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Follow all safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

Ability to accurately read a tape measure, especially in imperial measurements.

Comfort with or willingness to learn how to operate equipment such as air tools, band saws, and rollers.

Basic math and geometry skills, including working with angles and fractions.

Ability to work with insulation (minimal heavy lifting but expect some dust, mess, and itchiness).

Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
