MANDATE

Embark is looking for a Software QA Engineer who will provide expert advice, research, analysis and design of test plans, related strategies and test processes that are appropriate to the application, solution, project and / or business unit. We are looking for someone with a creative mindset to develop custom test automation solutions for Embark’s applications. As a QA Engineer, you will be coordinating with the Application Owners, Developers, Senior Test Engineer, and Infrastructure to create, improve and maintain custom automation solutions. This is a hands-on position for delivering a quality SaaS product. You will work with agile product teams and support the developers and product managers to ensure that the defined product is fully tested and has met acceptance criteria for defined customer user stories.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Work with Agile team Users to review business requirements, technical designs, and project test plans.
  • Participate in the development of specific test estimates, test schedules and test cases.
  • Execute acceptance, integration, installation, and system testing.
  • Identify regression test cases for automation.
  • Develop, configure, and execute automated tests through Cypress, Selenium, Jscript, JMeter and other testing tools like TestRail or Azure Test Plan.
  • Design and create scripts, beyond record and playback, using programming languages such as javascript, Python, Java etc.
  • Understand API requirements and write test cases accordingly.
  • Execute API test using various test methods (GET, POST & DELETE) and share output with the team.
  • Create and execute SQL scripts for testing purposes.
  • Record test results and report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.
  • Participate in performance testing and present results for validating and analysis to Project Teams.
  • Establish and maintain accurate work records and documents
  • Deliver work in line within agreed to effort estimates and timetable
  • Ensure awareness of priorities and report on progress and issues in a timely manner

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Relevant field.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience Test Engineering, including Automation and Manual Testing.
  • Excellent experience in working in an Agile Development environment on SAAS based applications.
  • Excellent experience in test automation of Web, Desktop, Database, Web Services and API applications using automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, SOAPUI / Post Man.
  • Experience in integrating automated tests into CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Intermediate knowledge in developing SQL scripts.
  • Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter.
  • Solid understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g., functional, usability, automation, performance).
  • A demonstrated dedication to continuous learning.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and non-written formats.
  • Superior attention to detail and focus on task completion to requirement.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, while also applying learned knowledge.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a very dynamic work environment.
