Carecor is offering Registered Nurses exciting travel nursing assignments in hospitals serving the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding area We’re ready when you are!
This opportunity offers contract options of up to 12 months. You choose what works for you!
Under the direction of the facility charge nurse, you will provide care according to the Nova Scotia College of Nursing, the Standards of Practice of Carecor and the healthcare facility where assigned - helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients.
For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 8-12hour shift. Prior to joining the Nova Scotia team, we will provide you with Information regarding travel allowance and Nova Scotia nursing license reimbursement.

Job Qualification
Our exemplary standing with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.
- Applicants require a Registered Nurse (RN) practicing license that is current, active and in good standing with your respective provincial College.
- Transfer of active practicing license will be required with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
- Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider)
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
- Flexible to work occasional shifts that are considered urgent / last minute / early morning
Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination.
If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
