Job Summary
A Business Analyst (BA) acts as the connector between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, you’ll work with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and support the design and implementation of systems that improve operational efficiency. You’ll also be involved in testing, documentation, training, and ongoing support to ensure solutions meet organizational goals and enhance overall performance.
The Successful Candidate's Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & AnalysisEngage with stakeholders to understand business needsDocument functional / non-functional requirements, user stories, basic data requirements, and business rulesConduct interviews, workshops, and observations to collect detailed informationProcess Modeling & ImprovementAnalyze current (as-is) business processes and define future-state (to-be) workflowsIdentify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Create process diagrams using tools such as flowcharts, BPMN, or UMLBusiness–IT LiaisonTranslate business requirements into clear technical specifications for development teamsEnsure proposed solutions align with business goals and add valueCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSolution Assessment & ValidationWork with QA / test teams to develop test plansCreate test cases and maintain a Traceability MatrixSupport UAT, including BDR setup and user role / profile requirementsValidate system functionality against documented requirementsDocumentation & CommunicationPrepare BRDs / SRS, process flows, user guides, basic data requirements, and test documentationProvide timely updates to stakeholders and managersMaintain accurate project documentation and version controlProject SupportSupport project managers with timelines, status updates, task breakdowns, and SCRUM activitiesIdentify risks, blockers, and dependenciesAssist with change management, user communication, and trainingSupport post–go-live activities such as bug reporting, additional training, and user assistanceThe Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have
