We’re looking for a full-time Estimator in the corporate flooring industry based in London, Ontario.
Our client is a well-established commercial flooring company known for delivering large-scale, high-quality projects across multiple sectors. They are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, building spreadsheets, and wants to grow a long-term career in estimating or project management.
Estimator responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for flooring projects based on drawings, specifications, and material take-offs
- Analyze tenders, contracts, and proposals to identify scope, pricing, and requirements
- Work closely with project managers, suppliers, and clients to gather and verify pricing information
- Manage bid submissions and track tender timelines
- Develop and maintain Excel-based estimating tools and databases
- Review and compare supplier quotes and material options for cost efficiency
- Support ongoing projects by updating cost data and monitoring budget performance
- Assist with proposals, reports, and presentations for client submissions
- Participate in team meetings to support project coordination and handoff
The successful candidate has :
A post-secondary diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field1–4 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or data analysisInterest in growing in their career and learning new skillsStrong mathematical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesInterest in commercial interiors, construction, and flooring systemsA proactive mindset and desire to learn and grow within the companyCompensation and benefits :
