Sr. Product Manager to drive redemption initiatives for Rewards Program for a large banking client

Duration : 6 months (possibility of extension or conversion)

Location : Hybrid (Downtown Toronto, 2 days in office)

The Product Manager is responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet customer / business needs over the product-market lifecycle.

You will own the go-to-market plan by working closely with Marketing and UX Research, and account for all functional and non-functional requirements of your stakeholders, while tracking the leading indicators (metrics).

You will collaborate with a wide range of people to identify and define customer needs, understand the solution context, support the roadmap, and develop the features required to meet these needs.

Must Have Skills :

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager working with product marketing , business development or technology
  • Experience working other loyalty companies or rewards programs within Banking industry
  • Leading IT Development Teams

Job Responsibilities :

Understand customer needs Leverages market research and Continuous Exploration to continually understand customer and market needs.

Design thinking tools, ranging from personas, empathy maps, journey maps, and story maps are used to communicate these to the Air Miles Value Streams.

Ensure product completeness The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring the product is considered whole and complete’ from a defined customer’s perspective.

Including all internal stakeholder needs from compliance, finance, legal, Customer Care, A&I, etc.

Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap Continuously develop and communicate the vision to the Agile Teams, while defining the features of the system.

Collaborate with Solution Architects / Engineering to define and maintain the Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure that the solution meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements.

Responsible for the product roadmap, which illustrates how features are intended to be implemented over time.

  • Manage and prioritize the flow of work support the flow of work through the product backlog, responsible for ensuring enough features are always ready in the backlog.
  • Participate in quarterly planning During each quarterly planning session, Product Management presents the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution, along with any relevant upcoming Milestones.
  • Define releases and program increments - responsible for release definition, including new features, architecture, and allocations for technical debt.
  • Work with Solution Architect / Engineering to understand Enabler work - Collaborate with the Solution Architect / Engineering to jointly sequence the Architectural Runway that will host new business functionality.
