Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative individual for the position of Social Worker Bachelors to perform triage and screen referrals received for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program. You will review referrals for completeness and determine eligibility in the program; send referrals to a therapist for an intake assessment to confirm their eligibility into the program. You will also provide individual and/or group centered evidence-based, short-term, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and related approaches to adults who experience mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, from an accredited university and current certificate of registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training (NVCI) is also required. We are looking for someone with a minimum of one (1) year experience in triage, clinical assessment, and treatment delivery of evidence-based CBT and CPT and experience providing mental health & addiction screening and intake with ability to make clinical recommendations. Bilingualism is required.
Candidates that possess experience with in-person and virtual care delivery, experience working in a community-based or outpatient setting and experience utilizing evidence-based CBT treatment models with clients experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and anxiety related conditions are preferred.
The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP) is available to anyone 18+ years with mild to moderate depression, anxiety and anxiety related conditions. OSP provides access to FREE, short-term, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and related services. CBT is a type of psychotherapy that teaches coping skills and techniques to help clients change the way they feel, think and act. OSP services range from self-directed (with support from a coach or therapist) to weekly, one-on-one or group therapy.
