We are actively seeking a deckhand operator to perform deckhand duties and operate the dredging system on the Océan Traverse Nord, a vessel specializing in suction dredging.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:
- Participate in various ship maneuvers (docking, anchoring, unloading, etc.)
- Take part in dredging operations in cooperation with the officer of the watch.
- Operate the elinde during dredging operations, ensuring that the vessel is loaded correctly.
- Participate in the work and general maintenance of the ship
- Operate onboard equipment safely and report any damage or malfunctions.
- Carry out the instructions of the officer on watch.
- Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS:
- Bridge watchkeeping certificate
- FUM Basic Safety STCW-BS
- Operation of lifeboats and rescue boats (FUM PSC)
- Building personnel with security responsibilities (BPSR)
- Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (RRO-CM)
- Valid STCW medical certificate
- Basic first aid at sea (asset)
- Valid Canadian passport
- Sailor experience relevant to the position
- Ability to work well in a team
- Languages: advanced level in French and intermediate level in English, spoken and written.
