We are looking for a Mechanical Designer who will be responsible for designing various mechanical devices that will be vital in developing machinery and / or large structures and working closely with our team of Project Managers, Shop Personnel to ensure project success. We are looking to add someone to our team who is a lateral thinker, able to navigate complexity and embrace ambiguity. It is crucial that our Mechanical Designer promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
Work on a variety of custom projects which include items such as conveyors, platforms and other components used primarily in the food and pharma industriesUsing layout diagrams, sketches, and notes to create 3D drawings of equipmentParticipate in Kickoff meetings, liaise with Project Managers, and other stakes holders to ensure project success throughout the projectTaking ownership of projects, sticking with them from concept to design, fabrication, and installationDevelop extensive knowledge of product line, preferred practices, and all applicable industry standardsRegularly communicate project status with key stakeholdersLead and contribute to product development, product realization and continuous improvement projects by working cross functionally with the Innovation and Manufacturing groupsAlways conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanshipIn accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the CompanyAll other duties as assignedRequirements
Key Qualifications
College Diploma / University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferredMinimum of 3 to 5 years of Mechanical Design experience, preferably in a custom manufacturing environmentProficient in Solidworks (or similar 3D software) and AutoCADWorking knowledge of Solidworks PDM preferredDesign experience with exposure to structural and or stainless steel productFamiliar with working with weldment functions, sheet metal functionality within a 3D softwareIdeally have had experience working with conveyor systems and or sanitary equipment used in the food industryGood communication skills with the ability to work with engineering teammates and shop floor staffWe Look Forward to Hearing from You!
