We are looking for a Bilingual Buyer to support our Civil East division in Quebec on the Contrecoeur Project. The position is based in Contrecoeur, 40 km from Montreal. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to a broad array of supply chain program management initiatives to support the project. The Bilingual Buyer is responsible for all procurement‑related activities and for satisfying our internal customers with superior delivery, cost, and quality, as well as tracking open orders.
What You’ll Do Here
Accountable for project procurement plan and on‑time delivery.Responsible for the procurement process in SAP.Negotiate low‑value contracts with vendors and service providers.Adhere to Aecon's preferred supplier sourcing footprint.Drive towards zero exceptions in the procure‑to‑pay process.Provide real‑time solutions for price, delivery, account assignment, material, and service‑related exceptions.Actively participate and aid in the development of vendor improvement plans.What You Bring To The Team
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Engineering (preferred).Proven organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a fast‑paced work environment.Advanced communication skills demonstrated through previous experience in multi‑disciplinary project & program meetings, technical reviews with solution providers / vendors / suppliers and subject‑matter experts.Experience in program management is an asset.Ability to interpret process flow charts to understand data capture and flow between applications.Ability to build positive working relationships with professionals within industry and internal clients.Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.Effective oral and written communication.Attention to detail, mathematical and analytical skills.Solid research skills and commitment to continually learn about new products, technologies and processes.Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP (Procure to pay).We foster diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
