THE ROLE
As an MHE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of material handling equipment such as electric forklifts, pallet trucks, and dock trucks, including industrial batteries and charging equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical and electrical experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and assist with special projects in a clean and organized facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform maintenance and repairs on electric forklifts, pallet trucks, dock trucks, and associated equipmentComplete preventive maintenance and safety inspections of MHE fleetConduct small electrical repairs and welding projects as neededMaintain batteries and chargers, including cleaning, watering, and repair of plugs and tipsAssist with special projects around the facility (moving furniture, changing lights, light carpentry, painting, minor plumbing)Participate in on-call rotation as designatedRecord time and materials in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working orderRespond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safetyPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED (Trade school in mechanical discipline preferred)2 years of MHE maintenance experienceValid Driver’s LicenseAbility to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-callAdvanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (AC & DC), drive motors, and electrical controls including PLC systemsAdvanced knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering systems, and suspension systemsAbility to lift up to 70 lbsStrong commitment to safety and teamwork#INDSTRIVEON
