Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to join our Energy & Resources practice in Ontario . This leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys taking on challenges, and is passionate about driving the success of energy and resource programs. You’ll be at the helm of a diverse portfolio of electrification and renewable projects, guiding them from start to finish, and helping to shape the growth and evolution of our program management practice in the region. We offer a flexible hybrid work model that allows you to balance working from home and from one of our offices. Ideally, you’ll be based near our Mississauga office, but we’re happy to consider candidates from any of our CIMA+ Ontario locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and provide strategic direction for a portfolio of electrification and renewable programs, ensuring they align with client objectives and organizational standards.
- Develop and implement program management strategies, policies, and procedures that reflect best practices and meet industry standards.
- Oversee all stages of program delivery—from planning and execution to monitoring and closure—ensuring programs are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Proactively address and resolve program challenges, working closely with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to find solutions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients to fully understand their needs and expectations, providing expert guidance and support throughout the entire program lifecycle.
- Contribute to business development efforts by assisting in proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices, integrating innovative solutions into the program management approach.
- Manage program budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost controls and accountability.
- Develop and manage financial forecasts, resource allocation, and ensure program profitability.
- Provide regular, accurate reports on program status, performance metrics, and financials to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate program documentation while maintaining compliance with company policies and standards.
- Develop systems and processes to support client governance and reporting requirements, ensuring effective management controls are in place.
- Ensure the team adheres to contractual obligations, meeting deadlines, deliverables, and terms.
- Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, risks, and performance metrics to senior management and clients as needed.
- Continuously assess and refine contract management processes to enhance efficiency and improve outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) would be an asset.Registration as a P.Eng or P.E. (USA) is a plus.At least 12 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years managing energy and resources programs, especially in the electrification and renewable field.Proven success in managing large-scale, complex programs and leading high-performing teams.Strong understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in business development within the consulting or engineering sectors.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.At CIMA+, we believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone’s unique talents are celebrated.
