Job Title: Yard Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a yard operator, where you will play an essential role in managing and organizing our pipe yard operations. This position involves working primarily outdoors, handling pipe organization, and loading and unloading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage pipe inventory in the yard.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently.
• Utilize RF scanners for accurate shipping and receiving tasks.
• Operate warehouse forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment.
• Ensure safety and accuracy in all operations.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience operating mechanical handling equipment (MHE) such as counterbalance.
• 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience.
• Proficiency with RF scanning technology.
• Experience working comfortably outdoors.
• Ability to lift and handle weights of 50+ lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification is a strong asset.
• Experience operating a combilift is an advantage.

Work Environment

Work during the night shift from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, with two unpaid 30-minute breaks. The role is based outdoors in a dynamic and active environment, offering a shift premium for night work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.11 - $25.11/hr.
