The Opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager, Recreation, The Bus Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for residents, companions, staff, and others during outings and events. This role involves operating and maintaining a lift‑equipped transit vehicle, performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, and assisting residents with mobility needs. The Bus Driver promotes person‑centered care by engaging with residents respectfully, supporting their participation in activities, and maintaining confidentiality. They are also accountable for adhering to safety standards, reporting hazards or incidents, and demonstrating professionalism in alignment with SCF’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Consider applying if you can read, write, and speak English effectively, have experience driving a multi‑passenger vehicle, a Class 4 Driver’s License and are CPR / First Aid Certified. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents with mobility needs, strong communication skills and a passion for working with seniors.
