The Opportunity

Wereseeking askilledMobileTrade Journeyperson Welder to join our team,based out of ourWest Kelowna shop.

As aMobileEquipment Fabricator / Welderwith Emil AndersonEquipment(EAE),youllcarry out maintenance welding, custom fabrication, and structural repairs on mobile heavy equipment. Your attention to detail, precision, and dedication tohigh standardswill help ensure our fleet staysdependableand downtime is kept to a minimum.

Although we are aunion affiliatedorganization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on fleet equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Conduct inspections and upkeep of welding tools and equipment tomaintainsafety and efficiency.
• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to swiftly complete repairs and reduce downtime.
• Assistmechanics in diagnosing issues related to structural integrity and recommend welding or fabrication solutions
• Fabricate custom parts, attachments, and components to extend equipment life or improve performance
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, weldment models, and drawings accurately.
• Mentor and support apprentices to foster their growth and trade skill development.
• Keep workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and pre-use inspections on mobile welding units;identifyand report equipment issues.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of completed work, parts used, and time allocations
• Perform anyadditionaltasksrequiredto support team and projectgoals.
