Job description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a leading professional services firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee client engagements, manage risk, and drive financial performance across various projects. The ideal candidate will handle senior-level client relationships, mentor junior team members, and foster a collaborative environment focused on learning and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong and sustained relationships.
  • Oversee client onboarding, manage file assignments, and conduct thorough file reviews for corporate and personal accounts.
  • Lead and execute client service plans on complex projects, collaborating with Partners to exceed client expectations while addressing potential business risks.
  • Oversee workflow distribution within the department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Mentor junior staff members to support their professional development.
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and the firm’s growth objectives.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Deep understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, CaseWare, Profile, TaxCycle, Jazzit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of coaching and developing team members.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a senior role within public accounting.
