25CUPE85 - Permanent Unassigned Caretaker

Location : Unassigned; Guelph, Fergus and Erin.

FTE and Hours : 1.0 FTE; 40 hours per week.

Hourly Pay Rate : $25.05 per hour (probationary); $26.65 per hour (permanent); effective September 1, 2025. Note : Additional shift premium of $0.73 per hour applies to afternoon shift.

Shift : Primary afternoon shift, with requirement to work day shift as needed.

Start Date : As soon as possible.

Reporting to : Custodial Manager. Board :  12‑month position; permanent; full‑time; CUPE union.

Vacancy Status : Existing vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing of sites
• Snow removal – salting and sanding
• Water flushing
• Cleaning of classrooms, offices, cafeteria, gymnasium, auditorium, washrooms, and related areas as directed by the Head Caretaker, Shift Supervisor or designate
• Daily check logs
• Operating the Clorox 360 Machine if required
• Head Caretaker duties
• Other duties as assigned
