Job Description
- Preparation of dialysis machines and related supplies for patient treatments.
- Cleaning and sanitization of the dialysis equipment.
- Obtaining patients' weight and vital sign information pre and post dialysis.
- Maintaining stock levels of medical and surgical supplies.
- Transport of patients.
- Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Diploma with some post secondary healthcare training requiredRenal Assistant Certificate an assetPrevious dialysis experience requiredHealthcare experience requiredMust have strong mechanical aptitudeProficiency with computer applicationsKnowledge of sterile / aseptic techniquesAble to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamTechnically orientedAbility to perform some heavy lifting requiredSatisfactory employment and attendance recordThe ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Additional Information
Hours : Monday - Saturday, various rotating - Days & Evenings - 8 and 12 hour shifts (Hours subject to change based on operational needs)
