Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Conduct field scouting visits regarding plant stand / establishment, herbicide timing / efficacy, insect and disease management checks.
- Be knowledgeable of current agronomic practices and government agricultural programs.
- Actively maintain up to date knowledge of current industry best practices and trends and communicates relevant information to growers and clients.
- Perform soil tests and plant tissue tests as needed, including analysis to perform recommendations.
- Conduct analysis through the winter months regarding fertility & seed recommendations, soil moisture data, yield data, etc.
- Investigate and evaluate potential opportunities to provide further value to our customers.
- Willingness to work in an outdoor setting, along with overtime as needed during peak season.
- Ability to work out of a home office when not performing in-field functions.
- Provides coaching and mentorship Agronomists and Agronomy Interns as required.
- Demonstrates exceptional relationship building ability with clients, dealers and the consulting team.
- Believes in the purpose of agriculture and has a passion for our industry.
- Strong demonstrated communication skills with our clients, team, and industry stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
A post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field.A minimum 4 years of agronomy field experience.Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.Located within the Assiniboia / Gravelbourg area is an assetThorough knowledge of agricultural software programs and applications.Applicants must be registered or become registered with the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists as defined by The Agrologists Act. Strong communication skills are needed not only with our customers, but within our team to further our knowledge and expertise.
