The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach Grade 8 Math, Science, Physical Health Education, and French with a partner in a pod, sharing 60 students.
Education & Experience
Major / minor in Mathematics, Science
Experience teaching Mathematics, Science at the Middle School level
Major practicum work in French Immersion
Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French, plus a good working knowledge of English
Teacher training at the Middle School level with major / minor in Kinesiology
Practicum work in Physical Health Education at the Middle School level
Experience teaching Physical Health Education at the Middle School level
Successfully complete and maintain non-violent crisis intervention certification
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and / or final practicum reports
