Job Description :

Our client is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe handling, movement, and positioning of heavy loads using forklifts and various other rigging equipment. Working with a range of machinery, including hoists, winch systems, chain blocks, toe jacks, and machinery skates, you will play an essential role in moving and securing equipment in diverse industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safely rig, lift, and position heavy loads using forklifts and other equipment
• Operate forklifts and additional rigging tools such as winch systems, chain blocks, and machinery skates to transport materials
• Conduct safety inspections of rigging equipment before use
• Calculate load weights and positioning for safe, effective movement
• Coordinate lifting operations closely with crane operators and other team members
• Secure loads to prevent damage to equipment, property, or personnel
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols for all rigging activities
• Identify and resolve issues during lifting and transport operations
• Communicate effectively with team members to maintain smooth operations

22.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience.
