Job description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for providing support to the Merchandisers and assist with facilitating trading activities and coordinating logistics for the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Gain a working knowledge of Trade Group operations including but not limited to sales, logistics, general operations and originations.
  • Focus on customer service and generate value for the customer and company from all current and potential marketing opportunities. Develop and support strong relationships with both current and new customers
  • Provide trading and logistics support to Merchandisers and Account Representatives
  • Perform basic report updates and maintenance

What is expected of you and others at this level :

  • Knowledge of grain and the transportation industry
  • Knowledge of futures, basis, spreads, currency, grain movement, marketing skills and a general knowledge of sales techniques
  • Self-motivated and has strong negotiation skills and ability
  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction
  • Performs routine assignments

    • Minimum Qualifications & Skills :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (or the equivalent in work experience)
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required
