UX Specialist Full Time; Remote in Canada

Reports to : VP, Product Innovation

This role is part of the growing Software Development Team at Allyant. In this role you will be working in a customer-focused, innovative, challenging and fun learning environment, and be responsible for conducting user research, creating intuitive user experiences and for helping us create functional and appealing product features that address our users’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Conducting user research through interviews, focus groups, shadowing and other methods
• Translating customer insights into product requirements, design decisions and improvements
• Leading the design of product features
• Rapidly sketching and prototyping ideas
• Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes
• Planning, conducting, and analyzing usability testing
• Collaborating with software development teams, product owner and business stakeholders
• Related duties as assigned by the manager

Education / Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human Interface Technology, other relevant degree and work experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on software products
• Expertise in interaction design and information architecture
• In-depth knowledge of UX best practices, user-centered design, and design thinking
• Experience with responsive web and mobile app design
• Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma, UXpin, InVision
• Understanding of accessibility compliance
• Previous work in Agile environment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

• Working space must be professional / business appropriate, free of distractions and safely maintained (as to meet safe working conditions followed on company premises).
