Make an impact with our Resource Management team as a Regional Resource Coordinator. This diverse team of professionals understands internal service needs and anticipates resource constraints before they become a challenge. As a trusted advisor, you’ll support the effective placement of team members so that our firm can maximize efficiencies and has the capacity needed when delivering services and results. This position is located in Thunder Bay, with requirements to travel to our other regional locations as needed.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all data entry related to producing a schedule for the Assurance, Private Enterprise and Professionals Teams
- Input scheduling information into the scheduling tool
- Assign engagements to individual team members by integrating the workflow management system with the schedule
- Participate in scheduling meetings and follow-up on unresolved issues
- Update assigned schedules on a daily basis
- Produce, analyze and distribute weekly utilization reporting to the Partner and Manager group and advise management team of anomalies or trends
- Produce ad-hoc reports (ranging in complexity) from our practice management software
- Resolve scheduling conflicts with Partners and Managers as necessary
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve processes
- Proactively building out future schedule by working with Partners and Managers
- Ensure that work is allocated evenly among team members and assign work accordingly when continuity on jobs is required
- Communicate scheduling changes and updates to team members
- Motivate others to follow processes and escalate issues / challenges as necessary
- Implementation of current and future scheduling policies and procedures
- Track vacation, overtime, and personal days accrued
- Participate in weekly scheduling calls
- Monitoring weekly timesheet entries and clarifying any concerns with team members
- Connect with Resource Management team members in other MNP offices to help with staffing needs both local and in other regions
- Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the management team
Skills and Experience
Completion of related post-secondary education in administration is an asset2-4 years of prior experience as a scheduler, or related administrative experienceExperience in a professional services firm preferredKnowledge of engagement management processes preferredProficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; advanced Excel skills and familiarity with schedule planning or project management systems preferredExcellent communication skills (both oral and written)Ability to confidently connect at all levels in the organization using diplomatic communication, influence and negotiation skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and leverage strong attention to detailAbility to perform as a self-starter with a high degree of initiativeBeing a flexible team playerThrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to prioritize accordingly
