Electrician
Job Description
Our client located in Brampton, ON is hiring for electrician is responsible for wiring tools and all associated equipment used primarily within robotic / automated assembly lines for the automotive industry. The Electrician is also responsible for final line integration and ensuring the line meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
This will be a day / night shift position (% onsite)
Pay rate will be $ / hr or more (depending on the experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create and maintain Product Bill of Materials
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics and specifications
- Teach robots
- Troubleshoot CNC machines
- Anticipate and solve problems
- Operate various tools and equipment (genie lift, drill press, hydraulic bender, megger)
- Panel building
- Machine wiring
- Start-up & debug
- Provide continuous guidance and training to Electrical Apprentices as assigned
- Perform office wiring and building maintenance as required
- Pipe bending
- Prioritize steps within the job to accomplish tasks in a reasonable amount of time
- Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy
- Consult your Supervisor / Assistant Supervisor if you are not % sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner
- Follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas
- Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly
- Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products
- Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements
- Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are supplied to our customers

Requirements
Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Electrician or Construction and Maintenance ElectricianMinimum 5 years’ experience required in automotive tooling and integrationGood knowledge of the electrical code, blue print reading and electrical schematicsKnowledge of programming robots, Motoman, Fanuc, ABB and NachiFamiliar with trouble shooting precision equipment, motors (AC&DC), Boring Mills and PLCMust be able to use hand tools (pipe benders, hydraulic knock-out, crimpers, and soldering iron)Good communication and organizational skillsMust have own toolsAbility to work as a team member and individuallyAbility to manage multiple tasks within the tradeOrientation, WHMIS, Crane, Forklift, Propane, Aerial Equipment, Lockout ProcedureISO 1 Awareness and Departmental Policy and Procedure Requirements, On-the-job developmentIf you have the skills and experience that we are looking for to be successful in this role, please apply online, email or fax your resume to Natasha Beharry
