Director, Distribution Strategy

Position Overview :

The Director, Strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic vision of the Asset Management division, with a particular focus on Distribution.

This position involves collaborating closely with the Head of Distribution and other key stakeholders to drive growth, enhance client relationships, and optimize business operations.

  • Strategic Planning : Develop, implement, and refine strategic initiatives to expand market share, enhance distribution channels, and increase client engagement.
  • Market Analysis : Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the asset management industry.

Utilize insights to inform strategic decisions and drive competitive advantage.

Business Development : Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Lead efforts to penetrate new markets and expand the firm's distribution network.

Client Relationships : Work closely with the Head of Distribution to develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Assist in creating customized solutions to address client-specific requirements.

Performance Monitoring : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.

Regularly review and report on progress, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with internal teams, including investment management, operations, marketing, and compliance, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and seamless execution of strategies.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and work with relevant teams to mitigate them.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Innovation : Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging them to drive innovation in distribution strategies and client engagement.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : A minimum of 3 years of experience in the asset management industry or consulting, with a focus on strategy, business development, or distribution.
  • Education : A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or CFA designation.
  • Strong Management Consulting bacnkground.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic Thinking : A strategic mindset with the ability to think long-term while also managing short-term priorities.
